High school musical Alumni Vanessa Hudgens and her husband, professional baseball player Cole Tucker, have welcomed their first child together.
“Mom, dad and baby are happy and healthy,” Hudgens wrote in an Instagram Story on Thursday.
The couple, who married last year, were spotted in photos published by TMZ on Wednesday leaving a Santa Monica hospital with Hudgens in a wheelchair, holding a baby.
“We are disappointed that our family’s privacy has been disrespected and exploited during this unprecedented time by the greed of a long lens camera that feeds the media,” Hudgens wrote in her July 4 post.
Representatives for Hudgens did not immediately respond to Entertainment weekly‘s request for comment.
The news comes four months after Hudgens showed off her baby bump on the red carpet at the 96th Academy Awards in April.
The photos were taken on the same day that Tucker celebrated his 28th birthday. Hudgens shared a carousel of photos on Instagram to mark the occasion.
“Happy birthday my little piece of heaven @cotuck,” she wrote. “You make the world a better place just by being you.”
In May, the Tick, tick, BOOM actress opened up E-news about one aspect of motherhood she’s definitely looking forward to: sharing her career with her children.
“I show my kids all of my work,” Hudgens told the outlet. “That’s why I’ve chosen things throughout my career. I wanted to make sure that if I had kids, there would be something for them to see at every age.”

Hudgens and Tucker, who originally sparked dating rumors in November 2020, tied the knot on Saturday, December 2, 2023, in Tulum, Mexico. In the days leading up to their secret wedding, the duo was photographed taking beach photos with Hudgens in a white dress. They later admitted in an interview with Fashion.
“I’m so grateful that we had a private wedding,” Hudgens told the outlet. “Literally talking about it now brings tears to my eyes. I couldn’t have imagined it any better. I knew it was going to be magical, but it exceeded my expectations.”
